THE TRAINING:

This immersive training weaves together ancient wisdom and modern science in honor of the slow, nurturing, receptive essence of Yin Yoga, providing a balanced foundation for practice and teaching. You’ll walk away with a profound depth of understanding and the confidence to care for every student and client.

Modules will include:

  • Traditional Chinese Medicine meridian system & Five Element Theory

  • Chakra theory

  • Myofascial and functional anatomy

  • The art and science of healing sequencing

  • Yoga philosophy from Vedic & Buddhist Traditions

  • Breathwork

  • Meditation

  • Mindfulness and Somatic Experiencing Basics

  • Teaching practicum and feedback

Who it’s for:

This training is designed for existing yoga teachers, acupuncturists, bodyworkers, and somatic or movement therapists with an established foundation in anatomy or movement who wish to deepen their understanding of Yin Yoga.

Ideal for those looking to integrate the principles of Yin, meridian or myofascial theory into their teaching or therapeutic practice, this training offers tools to guide students and clients toward profound release and transformation.

The training is certified through Yoga Alliance for 60 hours of continuing education credits.
45-hours will be an in-person immersion, and 15-hours will be online.

ThE LOCATION:

Nestled in the heart of the Catskills, this quiet modern farmhouse offers the ideal sanctuary for our Yin Yoga Teacher Training immersion.

A short ride from New York City, this spacious retreat features panoramic mountain views, geothermal heating and cooling, and dedicated practice spaces for a restorative and transformative experience

As we welcome the season’s change into spring, soak in the hot tub, walk the spacious grounds, or pause to savor the crisp mountain air from the deck in between sessions.

This setting invites you to immerse yourself in nature’s rhythms, fostering quiet contemplation and a deep connection to your practice.

Windham, NY is approximately 3-hours by car and 3.5 hours by bus from New York City.

All rooms will be shared with preferences offered on first-come-first-served basis.

Maria Macsay

Weaving over a decade of experience in teaching, coaching, and facilitating around the world, Maria invites clients and students to explore their rich inner world, awakening them to their personal power. Rooted in yoga, mindfulness, subconscious re-patterning, emotional mastery, and somatic healing, Maria's approach bridges Eastern and Western modalities together for an integrative approach to conscious living.

Maria is 550RYT and YACEP certified with over 1000 hours of teaching experience.

Sam Wilensky

Sound artist, poetry enthusiast, teacher of meditation, Buddhist philosophy and yin yoga. Sam weaves together contemplative and somatic practices that foster deep listening and artful exploration of one’s internal landscape as the working canvas for creating meaningful, lasting transformation. Practical and profound, Sam’s teachings provide a grounded, clear and accessible path for creative, spiritual growth in modern, daily life.

Sam is 500RYT and YACEP certified with 350+ hours of continuing ed. training and 1,000+ hours of teaching experience.
